Participation in counseling can result in a number of benefits to you, including improving interpersonal relationships and resolution of the specific concerns that led you to seek counseling.
However, working towards these positive changes requires effort on your part. Change takes patience and consistency.
During our first meeting we will go over all intake documentation and we will answer any questions you may have.
We will go over Barefoot Counseling Policies, and discuss a little about what has led you to be here.
We will discuss the process of counseling: What it is, things that you can expect from the treatment process. We will discuss your goals, expectations and your needs.
We will also explain possible treatment paths and methods. As well as answer any questions you may have moving forward.
Within a reasonable amount of time after the initiation of treatment, and your initial intake; A treatment plan will be discussed with you (client). A BFC counselor will discuss with you their understanding of the problem/s, treatment plan ideas, treatment objectives, and the possible outcomes of treatment. We will also address any unanswered questions about any of the procedures used in the course of your treatment or about the treatment plan.
